Who is behind Saba-IT
One dedicated point of contact who really knows your systems. No ticket system and no queue.
I am Andrius Sabaliauskas, most people call me Pius. Saba-IT is my one-person company in Schaffhausen. I plan, build and look after your IT myself. That ranges from quick help with an acute problem to a properly configured firewall or the complete infrastructure.
IT has been my profession since 2007. I started out hands-on. I built and repaired computers and advised customers. Then came networks and WAN support at a network service provider. For two years I was a self-employed IT consultant for SMEs. Several years in IT services at large companies followed, and most recently the technical lead of a service centre in Schaffhausen. I know what it feels like when nothing works on a Monday morning. And I know how calm everyday life is when IT simply runs.
In 2023 I founded Saba-IT to run my online shop destillen.ch as a business. I built the shop, servers, backups and monitoring myself and still run them today. Since 2026 I have been offering this experience to others as well, to businesses and private households alike.
My principle is data sovereignty. Your data belongs to you and stays in Switzerland. About two years ago I switched fully to open-source software and my own systems. So I no longer depend on cloud subscriptions whose prices and terms are set by others. This lowers running costs and makes you independent. I still know Microsoft 365 well. If it is the right solution for you, I will set it up properly.
What I recommend, I run myself. My entire infrastructure runs on my own hardware, from virtualisation through monitoring and backups to AI services. This lab is my proving ground. New solutions only reach customers once they have passed continuous operation here. For about a year I have been working intensively with artificial intelligence. Local language models, speech recognition and AI assistants are in daily use here, not just as a buzzword.
My native language is Lithuanian. I speak German fluently and English well. I can advise you in all three. When I am not working on servers, I am often working on light, sound and live visuals for events. That is what my second project, IFYVA, stands for.
And what if something happens?
What happens if your personal point of contact is ever unavailable? It is a fair question. That is why everything is built so that your business never depends on a single person.

- No lock-in. Standard technology and open systems. You keep full access to your systems and data at all times. Any competent IT partner could take over.
- Cover for emergencies. For genuine emergencies, trusted partners stand ready. With the documentation they can act immediately.
